Educational Psychologist/Content Writer
As a registered Educational Psychologist, Juliet has worked with a wide variety of children, families, and individuals during her time with the Ministry of Education, the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF), and in private practice. She has a passion for the topic of resilience and its importance in our modern lives, particularly for young people. She is also passionate about making evidence based psychological knowledge accessible to everyone.
It was during her time with the NZDF that she first became passionate about the topic of resilience. Juliet wanted to know how she could take the skills and tools she was sharing with adults and apply them to the students she assessed in private practice and with her own young children. She started reading the research and found that the principles and tools were fundamentally the same, just adjusted for the audience. It’s these principles and tools that she wants to share with you, for yourselves and your families.
Juliet lives in North West Auckland with her husband, two young children, a cat called Red, a puppy called Baz, and three chickens called Foggy, Five, and Six.
Juliet has an MA(Hons) endorsed in Clinical Psychology and a Post Graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology. She is a registered Educational Psychologist with the New Zealand Psychologists Board.
