About the Products

  • What is the best practice for AwesoME Inc journals?
Best practice is just to get started! Ideally we recommend journaling 3-4 times a week, but if it fits better with your daily routine then do it as often as you wish. Setting aside just 5 minutes a day to write in your journal will bring so many positive rewards.
  • How do I talk to my kids about resilience?
Childhood is the perfect time to develop resilience - it is a challenging time when their independence, self-identity and self-worth all become increasingly important. As parents we want to protect our children from the hardships of life, but sometimes by doing so we stop them talking risks, making mistakes and failing. But we all need to face adversity to learn how to be more resilient, how to get back up when we fall, how to learn different ways of doing things when we make mistakes. By teaching your children important life skills that foster resilience they will be able to use them in their daily lives to navigate challenges with ease and confidence. Practising gratitude is one of these important life skills that helps us see the world from a different perspective and not be overwhelmed by temporary circumstances.
  • How do I talk to my kids about gratitude?
This will be different for everyone, but you can bring the concept of gratitude into so many areas of day-today life. The best way to teach your children is by role-modeling behaviours. When someone helps you, talk about how grateful it makes you feel, how simple acts can mean so much. Talk about the things that are meaningful and bring you joy - these are things like spending time with family, new experiences or happy events, rather than material objects. Sit around the dinner table and talk about something awesome that happened, it doesn't have to be a big thing. Gratitude allows us to sit in the moment. • I’m not sure what journal to buy for my kids? Which one is the best for each group?
We have journals for all ages and all are based on the practice of Gratitude. Our most comprehensive journals for building resilience are the Resilient ME range. The best one for kids aged 5-12 is our Resilient ME Gratitude Journal for Kids, but if your kids are mature for their age or are a teen we have the Resilient Me Gratitude Journal for Teens - aimed at ages 13+. Older teens (17+) could also use the adult Resilient ME Gratitude Journals. Our You + ME connection journals are ideal for tweens and teens to connect to a parent or guardian. Our mini gratitude journals are focused on gratitude, but do have a happiness scale and some happiness and self-care tips.
  • When is the best time to journal?
If you can journal as part of your daily self-care routine that is fantastic, but there are no rules about when to journal. Some people start their day with journaling while other make it part of their night-time routine. It is totally up to you.
