Setting Goals

SettingGoals

Hi AwesoMEr’s,

Our year of resilience is coming to a close. I’ve really enjoyed the challenge and process of sharing with you the tools and strategies that the well-being research tells us helps build resilience.

At the start of the year I introduced the concept of ‘resilience’ as having the skills, tools, and resources to rebuild from difficult situations and experiences. And these will be different for each of us. I asked you to build a picture of what your resilience toolkit looked like. I then asked you to think about what you wanted it to look like and how you were going to get there.

We’ve covered a lot since then!

So now’s the time to reflect on all that work. If you haven’t already signed up to receive this FREE Module to begin your journey, you can do so here.

Now it is time to set your future life goals.

Goal setting is a powerful process for motivating yourself to turn your vision, of your ideal future, into reality. By setting clear goals they will help you choose where you want to go in life, what you want to achieve and where you have to concentrate your efforts. It will also help you to quickly spot those distractions that can lead you astray.

Module 12: Goal Setting, of The Resilience Toolkit eCourse, will help you to find those goals and teach you how to set and prioritise them so you can meet them with ease.

We’ve made it! Make sure to circle back to other modules to get a refresher whenever you need it.

Bye for now,

Juliet

resilience toolkitAt AwesoME Inc we have created The Resilience Toolkit eCourse and are currently releasing one module per month direct to you. Starting in January we introduced to you our Resilience Toolkit with Module 1: an Introduction, in which I asked you to do a resilience stock-take. If you haven’t already signed up to receive this FREE Module to begin your journey, you can do so here.

In Module 2, we started focusing on the theme of RELAX, where I show you how to get familiar and regularly practicing two of the easiest and most well researched relaxation techniques – Breathing & Guided Meditation. The RELAX theme is continued in Module 3, with how to calm your mind using Mindfulness and again in Module 4 where we go in depth into the practice of Gratitude.

Next Module 5 introduces you to the theme of MOVE with Move Fast and continued in Module 6 with Move Slow.

Our next theme of ENGAGE started with Module 7: Social Connection where we learnt how to build on our social connected-ness and Module 8: Communicate, shows us how we can communicate effectively and positively with others. Module 9: Contribution completes this theme where we show you how to find your passion and what gives your life meaning.

Next is DEVELOP and the first module of the theme starts with Module 10: Mindsets and how you can change your own mindset to one of growth. Next we show you how to Challenge Negativity with Module 11 – learn about the ‘thinking traps’ you can fall into when something doesn’t go to plan and the strategies you can use to get out of them and get back up. Our last installment and Module 12 is all about Goal Setting. Find out how to set goals and motivate yourself to turn your vision, of your ideal future, into reality.
